Profile
Lower extremity peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is the result of atherogenesis or “hardening” of the arteries. Common risk factors include age, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, tobacco use, family history, and male gender.
PAD is also associated with other diseases including coronary heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney disease, and congestive heart failure.
Treatment options at Symmetry Vascular include medical therapy, lifestyle modification, smoking cessation, exercise programs, and, in some instances, surgical intervention. The team at Symmetric Vascular Center is proud of its ability to treat all types of PAD.
